Dr. Alexa Danoff is a New York-licensed psychologist who earned her PhD in School Psychology from Fordham University with a concentration in Therapeutic Interventions. Some of her notable training experiences include working with The Child Mind Institute and Envisage Neuropsychology, as well as working in several public, independent, and special education schools with students from preschool through college. Due to her school psychology background, Alexa brings a unique perspective and understanding of how learning challenges manifest in different school environments, as well as which supports may be the most effective for helping students succeed. She has first-hand experience taking recommendations and strategies from neuropsychological reports and helping school personnel apply them in the classroom.

As a clinician, Alexa brings a balance of empathy, warmth, and enthusiasm when working with clients and their families. She structures testing sessions in a way that both allows students to practice executive functioning skills and engage in age-appropriate play. This provides students with an enjoyable break from testing activities and allows her to gather valuable information about their social and communication skills. Alexa has much experience working with gender non-conforming and queer students, and she prides herself on creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all families. In her spare time, Alexa enjoys seeing theater and concerts, traveling, and arts and crafts.
